Irondequoit Ambulance is limiting operations to protect our community at large from the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Effectively immediately, we will not be installing or checking any car seats until further notice.

"Vehicle crashes remain the number one killer of children ages 2-14 in the United States. Safe Kids Buckle Up teaches parents and caregivers how to buckle up children the right way, on every ride."  (Safekids USA)

CPS (Child Passenger Safety) Technicians are trained to inspect and identify unsafe car seats and installations, and to educate parents and caregivers on how to properly install and restrain children correctly.

There are many tools parents can use to help reduce the risk of injury and death to children who ride in vehicles.

The goal of this program is to educate drivers and families on the proper and safe use of child passenger safety seats.

Irondequoit Ambulance handles car seat checks on a case by case basis, as staffing allows.  This is from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm Monday to Friday.  Please call to see if a technician is on duty.
